...why mitts have the little plastic clips on the wrist?
Does anyone ever use those little plastic clips to join their mitts together? And, why would anyone do this if they just throw their mitts in a “winter clothes” bin. Most people are too lazy to get off the couch; I find it hard to believe they are going to clip their mitts together so they “don’t lose one”.
Other than retailers clipping the mitts together so consumers buy a right and a left of the same style (because the average person isn’t smart enough to do this unless they are attached to each other), what purpose does this plastic hook serve?
The next time I visit a friend’s place, I’m going to sneak in and join all their mitts together and I’ll wait for the thank you card in the mail!!!
I wouldn’t want them to lose a right or a left mitt!!!
I just love that you call them mitts. We call them mittens in the Great Lake State. And I remember as a kid they were not very popular. Mittens suggested you were a child, a juvenile. Gloves were what big kids and adults wore. I will admit mittens have a fabulous purpose: young children. I recently had to help my 3 year-old niece put 5 fingers into a pair of children's gloves, and it took about five tries to get the fingers in the appropriate places. I don't recall our mittens ever having any sort of clip, except for the plastic piece that keeps them together before you purchase them.
